Rather expected game in Runcorn where 10th ranked South West Metro Pirates (7-11) were rolled over by eighth ranked Thunder (9-9) 105-82 on Saturday. Thunder looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by South West Metro Pirates' players. The best player for the winners was swingman Ryan Jeffries (192-86) who scored 29 points. Forward Mitch Young (206-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Ryan Vines (178-91, college: Co.Georgia) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists and Max Kerle added 24 points respectively for the hosts. Five Thunder and four South West Metro Pirates players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunder maintains eighth place in League with 9-9 record. Loser South West Metro Pirates dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
