There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Canberra Gunners (7-15) defeated at home 7th ranked Hills Hornets (11-11) 85-71 on Saturday. Canberra Gunners looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was center Iain Morison (206-95, college: St.Francis, IL) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Daniel Joyce (194-87) chipped in 9 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Canberra Gunners' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized British forward Paul Brotherson (198-89, college: MSU Denver) produced 27 points and 6 rebounds and Joshua Chapman added 4 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Canberra Gunners maintains ninth place in League with 7-15 record. Loser Hills Hornets keep the seventh position with 11 games lost.
