Regular Season Round 16: Nkumba LM - Angels 55-63

The most shocking disappointment of round 17 was a home defeat of 4th placed Nkumba LM (9-7) to seventh ranked Angels (7-8) 63-55. Angels forced 20 Nkumba LM turnovers and outrebounded them 68-30 including a 28-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Alado Patricia stepped up and scored 8 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and Hamala Miriam chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. International guard Brenda Ekone (152-96) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 steals and Susan Aanyu scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Angels moved-up to fifth place, which they share with KIU Rangers. Nkumba LM at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
