Regular Season Round 4: Corinthians - Bauru 80-66

Date: August 7, 2019
Corinthians' fans can celebrate the first win of their team after one consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Paschoalotto/Bauru (1-2) 80-66 on Wednesday. Corinthians looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by power forward Italo Bonizioli (207-1) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and American-Peruvian guard Kyle Fuller (185-92, college: Vanderbilt) supported him with 19 points and 5 assists. Even 13 points and 5 assists by the former international point guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) did not help to save the game for Paschoalotto/Bauru. Argentinian point guard Lucas Faggiano (188-89, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 15 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paschoalotto/Bauru's coach tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Corinthians (1-1) left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Sao Jose and Rio Claro. Loser Paschoalotto/Bauru keeps the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with Sao Paulo FC. Corinthians will meet at home SJ Boa Vista (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against Sao Jose and hope to win that game.
