There was no surprise in Kampala where 9th ranked YMCA Hamstars (2-13) were crushed by third ranked UCU Ladies (11-3) 120-27. UCU Ladies held YMCA Hamstars to an opponent 21.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 55.0 percent accuracy of the winners. UCU Ladies forced 44 YMCA Hamstars turnovers and outrebounded them 54-31 including a 24-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. UCU Ladies players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by YMCA Hamstars' players. Abei Priscilla notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Sarah Ageno (176-96) supported her with 22 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five UCU Ladies players scored in double figures. Even 11 points by Perus Nyamwenge did not help to save the game for YMCA Hamstars. Shalom Muwanguzi added 6 points and 5 rebounds. UCU Ladies maintains third position with 11-3 record having nine points less than leader JKL Dolphins. YMCA Hamstars lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the ninth place with 13 games lost.
