Regular Season Round 6: L.Sorocaba - Sao Paulo FC 79-95

Bottom-ranked Liga Sorocaba (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 95-79 loss to seventh ranked Sao Paulo FC (3-2) in Sorocabana. They made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American guard Desmond Holloway (191-90, college: Coastal) notched 19 points, 5 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and international forward Renan Lenz (206-90, college: Utah) supported him with 19 points. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds by Andrezao Silva (198-90) did not help to save the game for Liga Sorocaba. Guard Leonardo Eltink (193-95) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Liga Sorocaba players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sao Paulo FC moved-up to sixth place. Liga Sorocaba at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Sao Paulo FC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sao Paulo Vivo/Franca.
