Regular Season Round 6: Corinthians - Paulistano 95-88

Undefeated Paulistano (3-1) recorded its first loss in Sao Paulo on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Corinthians (3-1) 95-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Paulistano. Corinthians looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Ricardo Fischer (185-91) who scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. International point guard Arthur Pecos (183-94) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Corinthians' coach Bruno Savignani used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Guilherme Hubner (208-87) who recorded 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American Dominique Coleman (198-88, college: Francis Marion) added 22 points respectively. Five Corinthians and four Paulistano players scored in double figures. Corinthians have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Paulistano. Corinthians is looking forward to face Rio Claro (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Paulistano will have a break next round.
