Regular Season Round 6: Mogi - Pinheiros 91-69

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Pinheiros (4-1) against fourth ranked Mogi (4-1) on Wednesday night. Visiting Pinheiros was crushed by Mogi in Mogi das Cruzes 91-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Pinheiros. Mogi dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Pinheiros' 26. They outrebounded Pinheiros 45-29 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-94) who led his team to a victory with 27 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). International point guard Alexey Borges (188-95) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Mogi players scored in double figures. The former international Betinho Nardi-Duarte (195-88) replied with 20 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Marcus Vinicius Toledo (201-86) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pinheiros. Pinheiros' coach Cesar Guidetti gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Mogi moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Pinheiros. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
