Regular Season Round 7: SJ Boa Vista - Sao Jose 56-83

Bottom-ranked SJ Boa Vista is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to eighth ranked Sao Jose (3-2) 83-56. It was a great evening for Argentinian swingman Guido Mariani (193-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 4 assists. The former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Five Sao Jose players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Alison Cruz responded with 16 points and Romulo Vieira (200-92) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sao Jose moved-up to sixth place. SJ Boa Vista lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Sao Jose will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SJ Boa Vista will play at home against Rio Claro (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
