The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Sao Paulo: Vivo/Franca (#1) and Pinheiros (#4). Pinheiros was smashed at home by 17 points 56-73 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Vivo/Franca made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Vivo/Franca outrebounded Pinheiros 43-32 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Lucas Silva (209-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and American David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. The former international forward Marcus-Vinicius Toledo (201-86) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Cordero Bennett (188-88) scored 11 points. Pinheiros' coach Cesar Guidetti rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vivo/Franca (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Pinheiros at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost.
