Regular Season Round 11: Franca - ADRM 80-33

Bottom-ranked Country (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to third ranked Franca (8-2) 80-33. Franca dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Country's 22. Franca forced 33 Country turnovers and outrebounded them 30-18 including 24 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Country's players. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Edu Marilia (207-1) who led the winners and scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Felipe Cardoso (-0) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five Franca players scored in double figures. Forward Vinicius Menegassi (190-99) came up with 10 points and power forward Jeferson Arguello (198-0) added 8 points respectively for Country in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Franca maintains third place with 8-2 record behind leader Pinheiros. Country lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Franca will play against Flamengo (#4) in Rio de Janeiro in the next round. Country will play against Corinthians (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
