Regular Season Round 13: Bauru - Corinthians 84-77

Date: September 1, 2019
The game in Bauru was also quite interesting. 4th placed Corinthians (6-3) played at the court of sixth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (6-3). Paschoalotto/Bauru managed to secure a 7-point victory 84-77 on Sunday. Paschoalotto/Bauru shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Power forward Renato Carbonari (206-87) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Canadian Nicholas Wiggins (198-91, college: Z*Orangeville A's) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Bahamas David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Ricardo Fischer (185-91) added 13 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Four Corinthians players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Paschoalotto/Bauru have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Corinthians. Paschoalotto/Bauru will meet at home Sao Jose (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Corinthians will have a break next round.
