Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Sao Paulo: Pinheiros (#1) and Paulistano (#2). Pinheiros (10-0) won against visiting Paulistano (8-2) 73-60. Pinheiros had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for point guard Gabriel Campos (178-1) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Center Daniel Sousa (211-0) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Pinheiros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Lucas Lopes (-1) replied with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Matheus Silva (186-1) added 13 points in the effort for Paulistano. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. Pinheiros have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Paulistano at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. Pinheiros will play against Praia (#8) in Vitoria in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Paulistano will play at home against Country (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
