We should mention about the upset which took place in Vitoria, where 8th ranked Praia (3-6) lost at home to eleventh ranked Uniao Corinthians (2-6) 61-74 on Sunday. Uniao Corinthians shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian point guard Francisco Arozena (178-0) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Victor Brum (191-99) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Salatiel Dal (200-99) who recorded 12 points and 9 rebounds and guard Will Junior (190-99) added 14 points respectively. Praia's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Uniao Corinthians moved-up to tenth place. Loser Praia keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Uniao Corinthians will face higher ranked Curitiba (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
