Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Asuncion: Olimpia (#2) and Ciudad Nueva (#6). Ciudad Nueva was crushed at home by 29 points 54-83 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Olimpia dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ciudad Nueva's 24. Olimpia forced 22 Ciudad Nueva turnovers. The former international forward Adolfo Lopez (199-89) stepped up and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Luis Ljubetich (181-87) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Venezuelan Darwin-Jesus Rivera responded with 18 points and Nilton De-Oliveir scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion (4-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Libertad. Ciudad Nueva lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with four games lost. They share the position with Campo Alto.
