Regular Season Round 13: Paulistano - ADRM 71-41

Bottom-ranked Country is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to third ranked Paulistano (9-2) 71-41. Paulistano forced 30 Country turnovers and outrebounded them 36-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. Matheus Silva (186-1) stepped up and scored 15 points for the winners and swingman Barbosa Santana (192-0) chipped in 11 points and 4 steals. At the losing side Samuel Oliveira (-1) responded with 21 points and 7 steals and power forward Jeferson Arguello (198-0) scored 4 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Paulistano maintains third place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Pinheiros. Country lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. Paulistano will play against league's second-placed Flamengo in Rio de Janeiro in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Country will play at home against Praia (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
