Regular Season Round 13: Uniao Corinthians - Curitiba 57-59

A very interesting game took place in Sao Paulo. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 10th ranked Uniao Corinthians (2-7) to seventh ranked Curitiba (6-5) 59-57 on Monday evening. Raul Cursio (-99) fired 8 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Erike Lima (202-99) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Curitiba's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Joao Ramos (198-99) produced 7 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Gusthavo Nestor (193-99) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Curitiba moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sao Jose. Uniao Corinthians at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Curitiba's next round opponent will be league's leader Pinheiros in Sao Paulo and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Uniao Corinthians will play on the road against Minas (#10) in Belo Horizonte and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
