Regular Season Round 14: Bauru - Sao Jose 76-75

The most exciting game of round 14 in the Paulista took place in Bauru. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Sao Jose (4-5) to sixth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (6-3) 76-75 on Tuesday evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The former international point guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) saved the victory by scoring 22 points. Canadian Nicholas Wiggins (198-91, college: Z*Orangeville A's) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Rafa Oliveira (200-93) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Diego Figueredo (185-91) added 18 points in the effort for Sao Jose. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Paschoalotto/Bauru have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Paulistano and Corinthians. Sao Jose at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Rio Claro. Paschoalotto/Bauru will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sao Jose's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sao Jose SJ Boa Vista.
