Regular Season Round 1: Kagoshima - Okayama 75-78

A very close game took place in Renova between Okayama and Kagoshima. Okayama (2-0) got a very close victory on the road over Kagoshima (0-2). Okayama managed to escape with a 3-point win 78-75 on Saturday evening. Okayama outrebounded Kagoshima 43-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. Forward Terrance King (198-90, college: E.Stroudsburg) nailed 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) accounted for 14 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Shelton Boykin (198-92, college: Angelo St.) came up with 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Chris Washburn (203-93, college: TCU) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Kagoshima in the defeat. Kagoshima's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Okayama will meet at home Gifu Swoops (#5) in the next round. Kagoshima will play against Tokyo HT (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
