The biggest surprise of round 1 in LNBP took place in where host Astros (1-0) beat Michoacan (0-1) 77-73 on Thursday evening. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Puerto Rican swingman Angel-Daniel Vassallo (198-86, college: Virginia Tech) fired 28 points for the winners. American power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) chipped in 22 points. American guard Donald Sims (185-87, college: Appalachian St., agency: Pensack Sports) produced 19 points and 4 assists and Argentinian point guard Nicolas De-los-Santos (180-88) added 7 points and 10 assists respectively for lost side. Michoacan will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Astros will try to continue on its current victory against Michoacan at home.
