Regular Season Round 1: Nishinomiya S. - Bambitious N. 74-72

A very interesting game took place in Hyogo. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Bambitious Nara (0-2) to Nishinomiya S. (2-0) 74-72 on Saturday evening. American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: DePaul) nailed 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Kento Matsuzaki (178-88) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists. Nishinomiya S.'s coach Chris Marmarinos allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Jason Carter (206-92, college: Texas Southern, agency: Haylett Sports) added 16 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Bambitious Nara in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nishinomiya S.'s next round opponent will be again Bambitious Nara (#5) at home.
