Regular Season Round 2: Laguneros - Fuerza Regia 69-71

A very close game took place in Torreon between Fuerza Regia and Laguneros. Fuerza Regia (2-0) got a very close victory on the road over Laguneros (0-2). Fuerza Regia managed to escape with a 2-point win 71-69 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Fuerza Regia made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Laguneros turnovers. Strangely Laguneros outrebounded Fuerza Regia 46-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Jerime Anderson (187-89, college: UCLA, agency: Best of You Sports) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. Jonathan Leon responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Martin Coy scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Laguneros' coach Andres Contreras tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
