Regular Season Round 2: Kumamoto V. - Koshigaya A. 93-73

There was a surprise result when Kumamoto V. (1-1) smashed at home Koshigaya A. (1-1) 93-73 on Sunday. Kumamoto V. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Koshigaya A.'s 40. It was a great shooting night for Kumamoto V. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) chipped in 14 points and 11 assists during the contest. American forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) responded with 24 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import center Andrew Naymick (209-85, college: Michigan St.) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumamoto V. will face Dragonflies in Hiroshima in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Koshigaya A. will play at home against Shinshu BW and hope to win that game.
