Regular Season Round 2: Kagawa FA - Ehime OV 92-64

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Orange Vikings (1-1) in Takamatsu on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Kagawa FA (1-1) 92-64. Kagawa FA dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Orange Vikings' 26. They outrebounded Orange Vikings 48-30 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). The other American import guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) chipped in a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Puerto Rican center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagawa FA will meet Bambitious Nara (#5) on the road in the next round. Orange Vikings will play against Nishinomiya S. (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
