Regular Season Round 6: Bambitious N. - Shinshu BW 72-73

A very close game took place in Nara between Shinshu BW and Bambitious N.. Third ranked Shinshu BW (5-1) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Bambitious N. (1-5). Shinshu BW managed to escape with a 1-point win 73-72 on Sunday evening. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Shinshu BW's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale, agency: Octagon Europe) with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds and power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Shinshu BW have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Bambitious N. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Koshigaya A.. Shinshu BW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bambitious N. will play against Kumamoto V. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
