Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tokyo: Tokyo EX (#2) and Koshigaya A. (#5). Koshigaya A. was smashed at home by 17 points 85-102 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. 26 personal fouls committed by Koshigaya A. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was also dominated by American players. Center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) supported him with 18 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Tokyo EX players scored in double figures. Tokyo EX's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) did not help to save the game for Koshigaya A.. Forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) added 16 points and 8 rebounds. Tokyo EX (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Koshigaya A. lost fifth consecutive game. Koshigaya A. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Tokyo EX's next round opponent will be Yamagata (#4) on the road. Koshigaya A. will play against Fukuoka R. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
