Regular Season Round 4: Kouvot - Korihait 108-75

Bottom-ranked Korihait is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to third ranked Kouvot (3-1) 108-75. The game without a history. Kouvot led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Korihait's 38 and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Kouvot players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Duke Shelton (208-95, college: Tampa) fired 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Derrick Barden-Jr (196-92, college: N.Colorado) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Henri Ventoniemi (208-95, college: W.Florida, agency: Players Group) produced 23 points and American point guard Casey Benson (190-95, college: GCU) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Kouvot and four Korihait players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kouvot have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Seagulls. Korihait at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Kouvot will have a break next round. Korihait will play on the road against Kataja (#5) in Joensuu and hopes to get finally their first victory.
