No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Seagulls (3-1) beat on the road 8th ranked Lahti (1-3) 90-84 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-20. But Lahti won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Seagulls and four Lahti players scored in double figures. Seagulls have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Kouvot. Newly promoted Lahti dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Seagulls will face KTP Basket (#10) in Kotka in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lahti will play on the road against Pyrinto in Tampere and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
