Regular Season Round 2: KR - Haukar 102-84

KR used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Hafnarfjordur 102-84. It looked good early as Haukar took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then KR had a 27-16 second period charge getting the lead and Haukar was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 84-102. KR players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four KR players scored in double figures. International guard Haukur Oskarsson (194-91) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and American-Dutch Gerald Robinson (202-84, college: UT Martin) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Reykjavik to the arena Fjolnir.
