Regular Season Round 1: Rouen - Poitiers 87-59

SPO Rouen used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Poitiers 87-59 on Friday night. SPO Rouen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Poitiers' 28. SPO Rouen forced 20 Poitiers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Poitiers' players. Quite impressive performance for power forward Jerome Cazenobe (205-89) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 9 points and 6 assists for the winners. Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (206-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and American guard JR Reynolds (188-84, college: Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) added 12 points in the effort for Poitiers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SPO Rouen will face JA Vichy (#18) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Poitiers will play against Denain Voltaire (#3) and hope to win that game.
