Regular Season Round 2: FSU - Snaefell 75-59

FSU used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Stykkisholmur 75-59. It looked good early as Snaefell took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then FSU had a 24-11 second period charge getting the lead and Snaefell was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 59-75. They outrebounded Snaefell 52-37 including a 40-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Christian Cunningham (201-97, college: Jacksonville St.) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Croatian guard Kristijan Vladovic (185-99) chipped in 13 points and 4 steals during the contest. Four FSU players scored in double figures. Baldur Thorleifsson responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and Swedish Gabriel Adersteg (201-95, college: Bethesda) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. FSU will play against Vestri (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Snaefell will play against Skallagrimur (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
