Regular Season Round 4: DCU Saints - Tralee 60-104

Date: October 12, 2019
The game with biggest result difference took place in Dublin. Local DCU Saints (2-2) were outscored by eighth ranked Tralee (2-2) 104-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of DCU Saints. Tralee made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 39 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by DCU Saints' players. The winners were led by American guard Jonathan Lawton (188-96, college: Florida Southern, agency: Green Sports Management) who scored that evening 30 points and the former international guard Paul Dick (193-91, college: Franklin Pierce) supported him with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists. Lawton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Even a double-double of 29 points and 13 rebounds by the former international forward Michael Bonaparte (196-82, college: Coll.of the Ozarks) did not help to save the game for DCU Saints. The former international center Martins Provizors (202-87) added 13 points and 14 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tralee moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated DCU Saints. Tralee's next round opponent will be higher ranked Templeogue (#3) in Dublin and it may be quite challenging game. DCU Saints will play against Killorglin and hope to win that game.
