Everything went according to plan in Czestochowa where AZS PCz (3-0) beat Pogon RS (0-2) 89-76 on Saturday. AZS PCz forced 19 Pogon RS turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when AZS PCz made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for point guard Adam Skiba (180-99) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 8 assists. Piotr Lucka (194-96) helped adding 15 points and 6 assists. Five AZS PCz players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and guard Dawid Komandzik (190-97) scored 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. AZS PCz will face Wisla Krakow (#4) at home in the next round. Pogon RS will play against AZS AGH KR (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
