There was a minor upset when 4th placed Yamagata (3-4) lost at home to sixth ranked Tokyo Z (1-6) 70-65 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for Nigerian-American center Nnanna Egwu (211-92, college: Illinois) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Takumi Masuko (186-91) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Torian Graham (196-93, college: ASU) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Yamagata. Yamagata's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Tokyo Z maintains sixth place with 1-6 record. Loser Yamagata keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Tokyo Z will have a break next round. Yamagata will play again at home against Tokyo Z (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
