The most surprising game was a loss of Grasshoppers (1-1) in Tubbergen on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Jolly J. (2-1) 72-67. Jolly J. forced 25 Grasshoppers turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Grasshoppers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Jade Brughuis (174-3) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Anke Rikhof (191-96) helped adding 6 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Alissa Van-Der-Plas (180-2) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Mia Hordijk (166-0) scored 12 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Jolly J. is looking forward to face Loon Lions (#6) in Landsmeer in the next round. Grasshoppers will play against Keijser Capital and are hoping to win this game.
