Regular Season Round 11: Correcaminos - Dorados 65-73

Very expected game in Ciudad Victoria where 7th ranked Correcaminos (2-12) were defeated by third ranked Dorados (7-3) 73-65 on Saturday. Dorados forced 19 Correcaminos turnovers. Strangely Correcaminos outrebounded Dorados 41-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Dominican point guard Juan-Miguel Suero (198-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. International forward Machado Jonatan (200-93) helped adding 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Dorados' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Senegalese center Mamadou Ndiaye (229-93, college: UC Irvine) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and Spanish-Dominican center Jhonatan Araujo (208-96) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Newly promoted Dorados maintains third place with 7-3 record behind leader Mineros, which they share with Fuerza Regia. Correcaminos lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. Dorados will face league's leader Mineros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Correcaminos will play against Huracanes (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
