Regular Season Round 2: Salon V. - Pyrinto 72-89

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Salon V. (1-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Pyrinto (2-0) 89-72. The game was mostly controlled by Pyrinto. Salon V. managed to win fourth quarter 23-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Point guard Jasper Koskinen (183-1) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Ville Villgren (183-1) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Pyrinto players scored in double figures. Forward Patrik Poutiainen (196-1) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds and guard Leevi-Matias Taimela (192-2) added 20 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in the effort for Salon V.Salon V.'s coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Pyrinto is looking forward to face Honka (#6) in Espoo in the next round where they are favorite. Salon V. will play on the road against OBA in Espoo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
