Regular Season Round 5: BC Lulea - Boras 68-85

BC Lulea (4-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Boras Basket (2-1) 85-68. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC Lulea. The game was mostly controlled by Boras Basket. BC Lulea managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boras Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward DeAndre Davis (203-94, college: Alcorn St.) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Andreas Person (190-91) chipped in 19 points. Swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Quinton Upshur (196-93, college: NAU) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Boras Basket moved-up to third place. BC Lulea at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Boras Basket are looking forward to face KFUM Jamtland (#9) in Ostersund in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BC Lulea will play on the road against Norrkoping Dolphins (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
