Regular Season Round 7: Ehime OV - Sendai 89ers 79-85

An interesting game for Sendai 89ers (5-3) which played road game in Matsuyama against 4th placed Orange Vikings (2-6). Second ranked Sendai 89ers managed to get a 6-point victory 85-79. Sendai 89ers dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Orange Vikings' 28. It was a very good performance for American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Keisuke Takabatake (183-90) added 20 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in the effort for Orange Vikings. Sendai 89ers maintains second place with 5-3 record behind leader Tokyo EX. Orange Vikings lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
