Regular Season Round 5: Kongsberg - Tromso 98-64

Undefeated leader Kongsberg recorded the fifth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Tromso (2-5) 98-64. Kongsberg dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tromso's 16. They outrebounded Tromso 49-35 including 34 on the defensive glass. Kongsberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (187-91, college: Barry) stepped up and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American guard Joshua Hart (194-90, college: Va Intermont) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Kongsberg players scored in double figures. Kongsberg's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bahamas forward Kevin Altidor (196-90, college: Young Harris) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and Aron Finstad (188-98) scored 18 points and 4 assists. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Kongsberg. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record. Loser Tromso dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Kongsberg will meet at home Froya Basket (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Tromso will play against Centrum and hope to secure a win.
