Alaska Aces' fans can celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Manila, where they defeated Rain or Shine (1-5) 78-71. Alaska Aces dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rain or Shine's 30. They outrebounded Rain or Shine 60-43 including a 43-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Franko House (198-94, college: Ball St.) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 23 rebounds. Guard Jeron-Alvin Teng (190-94) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Kayel Locke (196-94, college: UNCG) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and guard Rey Nambatac (179-94) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
