Regular Season Round 1: Perth - Sydney Uni 79-62

Date: October 13, 2019
The game with biggest result difference took place in Perth. Local Perth Lynx (1-0) beat Sydney Uni Flames (0-2) 79-62 on Sunday night. American swingman Alison Schwagmeyer (177-90, college: Quincy) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and her fellow American import center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-94, college: Texas) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Colleen Planeta (188-88, college: PLNU) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Lauren Scherf (196-96) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perth Lynx will meet Bendigo Spirit (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sydney Uni Flames will play against Southside Flyers and hope to win that game.
