Regular Season Round 4: Firenze - Montecatini 84-56
Date: October 16, 2019
Very predictable result when top-ranked Firenze (6-0) smashed at home bottom-ranked Montecatiniterme (0-5) 84-56 on Wednesday. Firenze dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Montecatiniterme's 20. Worth to mention a great performance of Davide Poltroneri (195-85) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 assists and Lorenzo Passoni (197-97) who added 13 points and 4 steals during the contest. Four Firenze players scored in double figures. At the losing side DR Congolese power forward Joseph Vita-Sadi (198-97) responded with 7 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Guido Meini (188-79) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Firenze maintains first position in B with 6-0 record, which they share with Padova and San Vendemiano. Loser Montecatiniterme still closes the standings with five games lost. Firenze will face USE Basket (#3) in Empoli in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Montecatiniterme will play at home against Cecina (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
