Regular Season Round 5: Chiba J. - Tochigi B. 69-76

Very significant was Tochigi B.'s (#5) 76-69 road victory against 4th placed Chiba J.. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chiba J.. American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and the former international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) accounted for 19 points and 4 steals. American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) added 18 points and 9 assists respectively for Chiba J. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tochigi B. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Toyama G. Chiba J. at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Sea Horses M.. Tochigi B. will play against Aishin Sea Horses (#4) in Kariya in the next round. Chiba J. will play at home against the league's leader Toshiba Thunders and hopes to get back on the winning track.
