No shocking result in a game when Keflavik (2-1) crushed at home Breidablik (0-3) 89-56 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Breidablik's 34. Keflavik forced 27 Breidablik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Keflavik made 13 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for Venezuelan Daniela Wallen (180-95, college: Oklahoma City) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Guard Thoranna Hodge-Carr (166-99) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Violet Kapri Morrow (173-97, college: EWU) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and Polish forward Paula Tarnachowicz (188-91, college: Massachusetts) added 8 points respectively for Breidablik in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Keflavik will meet Valur in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Breidablik will play against Haukar (#4) in Hafnarfjordur and hopes to get finally their first victory.
