Start (3-1) recorded its first loss in Szczecin on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Wilki Morskie (3-1) 90-81. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Start. 24 personal fouls committed by Start helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: NC State) fired 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The other American import point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Mateusz Dziemba (192-92, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Five Wilki Morskie and four Start players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wilki Morskie have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Start. Wilki Morskie is looking forward to face BM Slam Stal (#14) in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Start will play at home against Asseco Arka (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
