Regular Season Round 12: Panteras - Soles 77-87

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Panteras (8-3) against fourth ranked Soles (7-3) on Thursday night. Host Panteras were defeated by Soles in Aguascalientes 87-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Panteras. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Luke Martinez (193-90, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward David Laury (206-90, college: Iona) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Soles players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Puerto Rican forward Derek Reese (201-93, college: Tennessee) with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and American guard Ronnie Boyce-III (191-95, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Soles moved-up to third place, which they share with Fuerza Regia. Loser Panteras keep the second position with three games lost. Soles will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Panteras will play again against Soles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
