Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Trouville (#8) and Bigua (#2). Trouville (0-1) won against visiting Bigua (2-0) 80-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bigua. They outrebounded Bigua 45-34 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Sampson Carter (203-90, college: Massachusetts) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. Puerto Rican guard Miguel Ali Berdiel (198-83, college: Valpo) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Carter is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Trouville's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Storm Warren (211-88, college: LSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and forward Demian Alvarez (193-84, agency: Pro Sports) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Bigua in the defeat. Four Bigua players scored in double figures. Trouville's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Aguada.
