Regular Season Round 7: Aisin AW - Kanazawa 81-60
Date: October 19, 2019
Second ranked Aisin AW (6-1) crushed at home 10th ranked Kanazawa (1-6) by 21 points 81-60, which is the biggest margin this round. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa's 22. They outrebounded Kanazawa 44-30 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Kenshin Urabe (188-95) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Takehiro Yamaguchi (182-94) answered with 22 points and American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) added 13 points in the effort for Kanazawa. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Aisin AW. They maintain second place with 6-1 record behind leader Toyoda Gosei, which they share with Saga B. Kanazawa at the other side dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Aisin AW's next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked Kanazawa (#12) in Ishikawa and are hoping to win another game.
