Regular Season Round 14: Fast Break - Bucaros 84-69

Everything could happen in Bogota at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Fast Break and 5th ranked Bucaros had identical 5-6 record. This time Fast Break used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Bucaramanga 84-69 on Saturday night. Fast Break dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Bucaros' 34. Fast Break had a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was T Cobos who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Venezuelan center Miguel Marriaga (205-84, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Fast Break's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Venezuelan Jose Rodriguez (197-94) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Fast Break and four Bucaros players scored in double figures. Fast Break maintains fourth position with 6-6 record. Loser Bucaros keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Fast Break will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bucaros will play against Warriors (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
